I 've been building Clasical guitars for more than 30 years, perfecting what I ve learnt from my father on the Antonio de Torres Model.
The construction of one of my instruments takes me a whole month. If I spent less time than that, I would not be honest with the instrument, or myself. In fact, I believe that the secret of an excellent guitar (besides the selection of the woods) is the amount of dedication necessary on the part of its maker to strive for perfection in the very smallest details, many of which are not even visible when it is completed
This spirit, which I inherited from my father, compels me to follow the ancient tradition of designing and manufacturing the patterns which form the rosette, although I could buy pre-manufactured ones that are readily available from various supply houses. This difficult technique, along with the traditional “French Polish” finish, are today only pursued by colleagues that enjoy the subtle results they produce in the purity of refined visual beauty and sound.
Throughout my career, I have pursued the perfection of these small details as a means of achieving a sound that would define my instruments: clear voice, balance, and great sustain. I would defer to others as to how successful I have been at my endeavors. It is with a sense of gratitude and humility that I have received the reactions of customers and guitarists from around the world, some of which are viewable in this site.
Testimonials
I have tried Ariel Ameijenda’s guitars and I can testify to the extraordinary quality and consistence of his work, his deep knowledge of the different woods and his attention to detail. His instruments not only have a beautiful tone, but also exhibit evenness in the various registers, remarkable transparency and are obedient to the wishes of the player. These instruments are so human they only lack the gift of speech…but that would be the task of the player. I recommend them without any reservation.

Time of Llobet, Luisa Anido, Domingo Prat. Sweet, tender sound. Congratulations. Yes I hope to meet you again soon."
